Facial hair to try on your photo

The beard is a short jaw line. No beard expects a bearded photo. The mustache stays on the upper lip. The goatee is chin and lip, not the cheeks.

Facial hair changes the outline under the nose and along the jaw. It does not recut the hair on your scalp, and it does not dye it. If the question is a buzz or a bald crown, you are in the wrong category. If the question is where hair stops on the cheek, you are in the right one.

Four boundaries, not one beard with settings

The Beard filter adds a short natural beard, cheeks included. The beard-change endpoint 404s, so this is an edit prompt. Patchy cheeks are often filled more evenly than two months of growth will manage. Judge the neck line and the cheek line. A beard to the chest ignored "short." A bare jaw is not this page's outcome.

The No beard filter removes beard and stubble, so the input has to wear some. A bare upload invites the model to invent a smoother jaw. The hidden jaw returns. A pale tan line may appear, or get graded away. Neither is a promise about the morning after a real shave.

The Mustache filter is the upper lip only. Width follows the mouth. The gap under the nose should usually stay partly visible. Hair on the chin or the cheeks means the run left its address. Using the beard page and trying to ignore the cheeks is the wrong workaround. You will remember the cheeks.

The Goatee filter is chin and lip, then bare skin. Cheek hair is a miss, not a fuller goatee. A line creeping up to the sideburn is a miss. A long paintbrush point below the jaw is the model overshooting. If the lip is missing, it failed toward a chin patch. If the chin is missing, it failed toward a mustache.

Why the boundaries are separate pages

A single prompt that says "facial hair" lets the model pick the full beard, because that is the shape it has seen most. People who want only the lip then spend the run on cheeks they meant to keep bare. Splitting the tools makes the miss detectable. You can point at hair in a region the prompt forbade. On a combined slider you would talk yourself into the extra hair.

We ask every edit to keep the face recognizable, the scalp hair, the clothes, and the background. A beard does not come with a new nose. Identity is a request. Compare the eyes and ears, outside the edited zone, before you trust the new cheek edge.

Adults only, your own face, confirmed with "This is me and I am 18 or older." Empty files, files over 8 MB, short edges under 256 pixels, and a skipped checkbox never reach the model and never charge. The logged-out watermarked preview is one across looks, not one per facial-hair page. HD without the watermark is 1 credit for a successful image. Failures return the credit or spare the preview.

How to choose before you spend the run

A full beard is a poor input for a mustache or a goatee: deletion and drawing in one pass leaves cheek stubble. A bare face is a poor input for removal. A hat shadow makes a mustache a guess. Collar up, and a beard's neck line has nowhere honest to land.

Decide which region must stay skin. If the answer is "nothing, cover the cheeks," use the beard. If the answer is "everything but the lip," use the mustache. If the answer is "cheeks stay bare, chin and lip do not," use the goatee. If the answer is "take it all off and show me the jaw," use removal, and bring a photo that still has the hair.

FAQ

Can one photo show a beard and a clean shave?

Not from one control. The beard page adds. The no-beard page removes. Running both as a matched pair is two generations, and only if the source for the removal actually has a beard.

Why does the beard look fuller than my family grows?

The model closes patchy gaps. Use the cheek line. Discount the even carpet, especially where the source photo shows bare skin.

A goatee grew into the sideburn. Is that a style?

No. It is a miss. Bare cheek is the definition. The beard filter is where cheek hair is allowed.

Does facial hair change my haircut?

It should not. Scalp hair stays. A receded hairline or a new length means the edit left the jaw and started a second tool's job.

Will shaving in the photo predict razor burn?

No. The render prefers calm skin. The useful part of the no-beard result is the shape of the jaw that the hair was hiding, including a possible tan line, not the texture of the next morning. Last updated: 2026-10-08.
